General Committee Meeting
June 28 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
The General Management Committee is the sovereign decision-making body of the CLP and is made up of delegates elected from the branch parties, local branches of affiliated trade unions, affiliated socialist societies, the local branch of the Co-operative Party and CLP officers. Other CLP members may attend and speak at GC meetings but they not entitled to take part in any called votes.
All members are invited and encouraged to take part in our General Committee meetings.
We will be reviewing motions from branches, voting on recommendations from our EC, discussing campaigns and engaging in policy debate.
Due to our new Friday meeting time, Mike Hill MP is also now able to attend GC - this offers Mike the opportunity to hear the views of local party members directly and also grants members the chance to speak with their local MP.
If you are a local party member do please come along. If you've not attended a GC before please feel free to contact our CLP Secretary or Membership Chair who'll happily arrange to welcome you at the entrance as talk you through your first meeting.
